Academic and Professional Development Framework

It’s here!!

The day you’ve all been waiting for!!!

The launch of our refreshed Academic and Professional Development Framework (APDF)!!!!

We thought you’d be excited.

But wait, what is it? Well essentially it’s LTE’s portfolio of developmental activities that we offer to the University. A large chunk of the Framework has been running successfully for a number of years now with our DARTE HEA accreditation scheme supporting staff apply for fellowship and programmes such as the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice supporting our teaching staff. However, we’re excited to announce a new element – namely scholarship led workshops and sprints!

We’ve delved deep in to the education strategy, NSS, quality reports and all other manner of University bits and bobs to co-create a programme that will hopefully support staff in delivering an empowered curriculum. I mention co-create as we have also worked closely with academics in agreeing both the content and modes of delivery.

So what are we offering? Well it is a range of sessions focussing on aspects of teaching and learning including:

  • Assessment and feedback
  • Learning technologies (Canvas, Panopto etc)
  • Classroom interaction
  • Blended and online learning

The full programme can be found on our SharePoint site but to whet your appetite here are the upcoming events. To book, just click on the title!
